The company was formerly known as China Longyuan Electric Power Group Corporation and changed its name to China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited in July 2009. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Beijing, the People's Republic of China. China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited is a subsidiary of China Energy Investment Corporation Limited.
